Dear Friends,

We are excited to share news about Sogyal Rinpoche's upcoming visit to the U.S.

Rigpa Annual Autumn Retreat

November 27 - December 6
weekend option: November 27 - 30

The Natural Freedom of Mind:
Awakening the Wisdom and Compassion of Our True Nature

Led by the Tibetan Buddhist master Sogyal Rinpoche, one of the most revered masters of our time, this retreat is a rare opportunity to step out of the busyness of daily life and enter into an environment dedicated towards getting to know our own mind and awakening the wisdom and compassion of our true nature.

Sogyal Rinpoche will offer teachings on the Buddhist wisdom of understanding the mind and meditation, in the spirit of Dzogchen—the highest wisdom of the Tibetan Buddhist tradition. Alongside the teachings, there will be instructions on meditation, and time for practice and reflection guided by senior students. This will be held in an atmosphere of stillness and silence, which offers a profound space for the wisdom of the teachings to enter our hearts, and for our own insights to blossom.

Many say that receiving teachings in an environment of retreat can bring about a profound transformation in our being and open the possibility of looking at ourselves, our lives and the world around us with a fresh perspective.

When we leave our mind in its true nature, we discover a natural inherent freedom of mind that has always been untouched by stress, confusion and turbulent emotions. As our mind and heart open, our inherent wisdom and compassion begin to radiate out in everything we do and touch everyone we encounter. By integrating the wisdom of these teachings fully into our daily life, we become truly alive—confident, open and at ease in any situation.

Visit our website for more information about the venue, travel and accommodations. The room rate at the Ventura Beach Marriott is guaranteed only through November 9th. Click here to make reservations.
